User Experience Designer and Strategist

Reliq is growing, and we’re looking for a UX strategist to join the Product Team in our Vancouver office. We’re a collaborative, close-knit group who are passionate about building well-designed software, improving health outcomes, and enhancing quality of life for patients and families.

Expectations and Tasks

  • Work closely with Product Management to define product strategy
  • Define Information Architecture, high level interaction, navigation models and task flows
  • Design wireframes and iterate prototypes from low to high fidelity
  • Conduct formative usability testing on evolving prototypes
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to lead production of detailed UI specifications
  • Review Development colleagues work to ensure designs are implemented as specified
  • Facilitate design discussions and design thinking with interdisciplinary  teams
  • Present ideas and concepts clearly to stakeholders and customers
  • Mentor and lead junior to intermediate designers
  • Coordinate multiple designs to ensure overall product consistency
  • User Research including experience drafting up personas, user goals, and scenarios
  • Conduct heuristic analysis and Research on existing and competitive products

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of Interaction Design experience for web, mobile  and/or thick client applications
  • Post Secondary Degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, HCI, or equivalent
  • Ability to draw ideas and designs on paper and whiteboard
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standard design and prototyping tools
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile development process
  • Passion for Design and Health Care
  • Ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional Portfolio that illustrates a varied range of work
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
